Steve Malliet

Steve Malliet began the Normal CornBelters in 2009 after spending the previous 4 seasons with the River City Rascals as their President. Prior to his time in River City, Steve served as the Executive Vice President and General Manager for the Joliet Jackhammers in the Northern League. He started his career as a Corporate Sales Manager for the Milwaukee Brewers for two seasons before moving on to start up the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Organization (Atlanta Braves Affiliate). He received his first General Manager position with the Wisconsin TimberRattlers in 1994 and helped the organization move into a new stadium in 1995. He was named Executive of the Year in the Midwest League in 1995 and the TimberRattlers went on to win the Bob Freitas Award in 1996 as the Most Outstanding Franchise in Minor League Baseball in their class.

Kyle Kreger

Kyle Kreger joined the Normal CornBelters at the start of the organization in 2009 as the Assistant General Manager/Vice President of Ticket Sales. Prior to returning to Normal, he spent seven years with the Joliet JackHammers Professional Baseball Club in Joliet, IL, where he was most recently Assistant General Manager – Sales. Kreger is a 2002 graduate of Illinois State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications. While attending ISU he served as a student assistant/intern in the Athletic Media Relations Department.

Heather Manint

Heather has lived in the McLean County area since 1993, but has always lived in Central Illinois her entire life. She has been with the CornBelters organization since the start in 2009. She takes care of all of the Accounting, Human Resources and the Team Store. Prior to joining the CornBelters, Heather worked as an accountant/office manager of a local home builder. She also has a tax service for clients. Heather’s degree is in accounting from Eastern Illinois University and she is also a Certified Public Accountant. Heather has been happily married to Michael for 18 years and has 3 great children: Mason (16), Matthew (11), and Madison (11). In her free time, she enjoys watching her children’s musical performances and sports activities.

Joe Rejc

Joe hails from Gurnee, Illinois and is in his third year with the CornBelters. He began his career in professional baseball with the Memphis Redbirds in 2009 as a Marketing Assistant. During his time with the Redbirds, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Sport and Tourism Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While in school, Joe worked for the Illinois Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as a Ticket Sales Associate. Joe is also a lifelong Cubs fan and a strong supporter of Fighting Illini athletics.

Lori Johnson

Lori joins the CornBelters after interning for the team in the 2010 inaugural season. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a specialization in marketing. Lori was a member of the IWU women's volleyball team during her four years there. Lori was born and raised in Bloomington/Normal and enjoys working out, running, and watching movies in her free time. She is a huge Chicago Cubs fan!

Justin Cartor

Justin is in his first season with the CornBelters in 2012. After his time as Box Office Manager with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Class-A, Texas Rangers) in 2010, he arrives in Illinois as the Ticket Operations Coordinator. A Willoughby, Ohio native, Justin graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Sports Marketing in May of 2009. He is, unfortunately (his words), a huge fan of all Cleveland sports teams, and while he is not busy getting accustomed to the married life, Justin enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and playing softball.
Ryan Eberle

Ryan is in his first year with the Normal CornBelters and is from Sugar Grove, Illinois. He recently graduated from the University of Illinois in May of 2012 with a degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism and has experience working with the Kane County Cougars. Ryan loves watching the White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bears.

Ellen Balbac

Ellen is in her first season with the CornBelters. She is a very recent graduate of Illinois State University, where she majored in public relations. Ellen is originally from Warren, IL. She now resides in Normal with her boyfriend and her wiener dog, Cleo. Ellen is a huge Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks, and White Soxs fan!

Jeff Holtke
In-Game Entertainment CoordinatorJeff is in his first year with the Normal CornBelters and the 2013 season will be his seventh season working in baseball. Jeff has spent the last three season with the 2013 Frontier League Champion Southern Illinois Miners. He resides in Bloomington with his wife Traci and two dogs and is orginally from Pekin, Illinois. Jeff is a die hard Cubs fan and Oakland Raider fan.

Mitch Brasher
Clubhouse ManagerMitch is in his first year with the Normal CornBelters and is from Bridgton, Missouri. He recently graduated from Illinois College in May of 2012 with a degree in Sports Management and has experience working with as a intern with the River City Rascals. Mitch loves watching the Cardinals, Blues and Rams.

Corny
CornBelters MascotCorny is the official mascot of the Normal CornBelters. He was born on August 7th of 2009 at 10:00 AM right here in Normal. Corny will be at every CornBelters game this summer getting the fans pumped up and rooting the CornBelters to victory! He also makes appearances throughout Central Illinois at schools, libraries, malls and many other locations.

Dr. Thomas Duhig
Team PhysicianDr. Duhig is a board certified and fellowship trained primary sports medicine physician. He has experience with the NCAA, NFL, USA boxing and IHSA providing care, coverage, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, assessment of participation and return to play issues. In addition to the Normal Cornbelters he is currently serving as Team physician for Illinois Wesleyan University, Illinois State University, the cities of Bloomington and Normal public high schools, and the Bloomington Edge arena football team. Dr. Duhig received his training at Indiana University and currently practices at the Orthopedic and Sports Enhancement Center.

Tyler Mulford
Team TrainerTyler is in his first year with the Normal CornBelters and is from here in Bloomington/Normal. This spring he graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Athletic Training and has experience working with multiple ISU athletics including baseball. Tyler is a huge Cubs, Blackhawks and Minnesota Vikings fan.
